The March Air Bearing Flute
Attachments fit simply, easily and quickly onto March Tool
and Cutter Grinding Machines and provide the facility for
regrinding 'up flute' or for relieving the flutes on cutters
with right hand or left hand spirals without centre holes.
Tapered cutters can also be relieved using
the air bearing in conjunction with the Table Traverse, and
the locating ring assembly which is available as an optional
extra.
The Attachment consists of a workhead with
cutter holder bodies, which float on a film of compressed
air in the workhead, giving a virtually friction free movement
to the cutting tool.
Straight Shank cutters are located in a quick-release
collet chuck allowing cutters to be reground with speed and
accuracy.
