Machine Spares

Machine Spares Company Profile

Ajax Machine Spares Ltd was formed in 2001 to provide ongoing support for the complete range of Ajax machines. After its move from Stockport to Birmingham it took on the Viking Machine Tools Ltd range of products.

In November 2002 it acquired the metal working spares of Startrite Machine Tools Ltd who were based in Rochester Kent and who were part of the Record Power Group. At this point it was decided that because of the companies' multi-brand presence it would undergo a name change and simply became Machine Spares Ltd.

In January 2003 Machine Spares moved into a new 6,000 sqft unit in Union Road, Oldbury in the West Midlands. It has in stock over £400K worth of spare parts for the above brands.

In July 2004 the acquisition of the tool and cutter grinder division from the liquidators of March Engineering took place and spares are now available from stock for March and Clarkson machines.

August 2005 Machine Spares purchased a 10’000 square foot warehouse in Garratt Street Brierley Hill, after a total refurbishment of the building, trading from the new site commences in January 2006.

January 2007 Machine Spares acquired the trading name and manufacturing rights of Beacon Machine Tools “Superior” surface grinding machines.

Machine Spares Ltd has a knowledge-base of ex-service engineers from the machine tool industry. There is at least one specialist for each brand to give specific advice:
